Dismantling Your Acer Predator Monitor And Stand Safely

At this point, the back of the monitor is held in place by over 20 plastic locks. Use a pry tool and a screwdriver to carefully loosen them all, working your way around the control panel. Be patient during this step to avoid leaving marks on the monitor.

Before removing the monitor's plastic side frame, you must disconnect the control panel. It is connected by a single flat ribbon cable that is held in place by a clamp connector. Use a screwdriver to open the clamp and carefully remove the ribbon cable.

Now, remove the screws in the plastic frame, being careful not to damage any cables. Finally, you can remove the monitor's plastic frame.

Reassemble the monitor

To reassemble your Acer Predator monitor, carefully follow these steps in reverse order.

• Reattach the monitor's plastic side frame, being cautious around the cabling.
• Secure the frame with the screws you set aside earlier. Remember to use the same amount of force as you needed to unscrew them.

Reattach the control panel

• Reconnect the control panel by plugging in the ribbon cable.
• Use a screwdriver to clamp the ribbon cable back into place.

Reassemble the tilting mechanism

• Reattach the tilting mechanism by sliding it back into place.
• Secure it with the two long Phillips screws.

Reattach the metal plate

Reattach the metal plate, being careful not to overtighten the screws.

Reassemble the stand

• Reattach the stand stem.
• Secure the stand base with the large flat-head screw.

Reattach the IO panel
